1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that man consists of three integral components: spirit, soul, and body. When our human spirit lies dormant, we may outwardly appear devout, yet inwardly, we are spiritually asleep. A slumbering spirit incapacitates us in many areas of life, crippling our ability to function effectively. Among the signs of spiritual slumber are: - We struggle to believe everything that is in the Bible. - We start to feel drowsy whenever we start to read the Bible or listen to sermons. - Our prayers and worship songs feel like lip service, and do not move our hearts. - We feel disconnected from God. - We cannot see visions or dream prophetic dreams. - We lack passion for God’s Word, His kingdom, and His will. - We are stuck with fleshly patterns of the world. Course Outline: Session 1: What is a Slumbering Spirit and its Effects Session 2: Causes of a Slumbering Spirit Session 3: Nurture the Human Spirit (Part 1) Session 4: Nurture the Human Spirit (Part 2) Session 4: Bless your Human Spirit In this four-session course, you will learn how to nurture your human spirit. By revitalizing your spirit, you will become attuned to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, gain dominance over your soul, aligning your entire being with God's truth, and embrace the working of His purposes in your life.
